Fixing Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is the worst Lego DC game, but it’s not a bad game. How could you fix it and make it a better game? Here are some of my ideas on how to fix it:
- Don’t give Joker & Lex Luthor suits while giving Cyborg just his Giant & Stealth suits, both of which returned in Lego DC Super Villains. This is because the suits they’re given are copied and pasted from other characters.
- Get rid of the Suit Wheel where you can select any suit at any time. In place of it, include suit changers and build them, much like the first two Lego Batman games which made more sense. That way, you wouldn’t abuse the suits and use them whenever or wherever you wanted.
- Don’t include the tech minigames since they would make more sense in any other Lego video game.
- Allow you to mute Conan O’Brien as the game’s guide.
- Make Batman playable in every level which would make more sense for a game with his name in the title. This is because he is not playable in four levels out of the 15 normal levels, three of which occur consecutively.
- Make the plot a lot better by making Brainiac the main villain throughout the game where he is a threat all the time and constantly does things while getting defeated at the end, much like with The Joker & Lex Luthor in the second game which works very well.
- Include just one level where you go a Lantern planet.
- Keep the first level in the game while changing or removing most of the other levels in between to make them more incredible such still including the level where you build the Bat-Rocket and fighting the villains at the Watchtower since it’s okay.
- Make Gotham City & Metropolis as the large open-world hubs while making the Batcave, Oa, the Hall of Justice/Watchtower, and Fortress of Solitude as smaller hub worlds. That way, the game would have a large open-world with vehicles to use.
- Include intensity in the plot and include something to keep the player engaged.
- Include Lois Lane, Clayface, Damian Wayne & the Two-Face Henchman since there were in the previous game. Thankfully, all four of them returned in Lego DC Super Villains.
- Include more of the major characters that were absent from the game.
- Make the font for the text look the same as it did in the first two games.
- Make the final battle of the game instead be where you have an epic fight with Brainiac where he’s finally defeated for good.
